These are our Intergenerational Stories of Indigenous Womxnhood.
Summer of 2020, while the world was social distancing, Kassie began building a sisterhood of visual representation showcasing the social, cultural, and interconnected ways of being an Indigenous Womxn. This illustration series seeks to carry on our legacies of joy, medicine, and community. 
Highlighting dancers in the Inter-Tribal Pow Wow circle and other notable figures such as Deb Haaland (an enrolled member of the Laguna Pueblo Tribe) the current U.S. Secretary of the Interior alongside Sharice Davids (member of the Ho-Chunk Nation) a U.S. Representative.

This illustration shows the multifaceted forms of Indigenous leadership from Congress to our Native Youth. Okimaskwew Baker in her Cree language means "Chief Woman" it is a legacy she will carry.
