Yá'át'ééh, Shik’éí dóó Shidine’é!
Hello, my name is Kassie John and I am a sister, Native Auntie, and granddaughter to generations of rug weavers, artists, and a proud member of the Navajo Nation.

I'm an Indigenous Designer, where I weave together Diné and non-Diné creative practices to empower and carry on cultural knowledge, intergenerational healing, and reclamation with Indigenous Design pedagogies.

I am focused on integrating and cultivating community and sustaining cultural knowledge by empowering Indigenous systems using design.
Currently, I am the Tribal Health Equity Coordinator and a Public Health Designer for the Utah Department of Health and Human Services.

I am a freelance Illustrator and Visual Storyteller, working on various projects with Cultural Intuitions and Public Health organizations doing identity development, and outreach to communities for the preservation of cultural heritage, language, and restoration.

As a Storykeeper and Indigenous Designer, I have come to learn that we all have a story to tell, and it is our duty to recognize these narratives to foster healing and change for our next generation of knowledge keepers.
